A-Teens is for girls in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades A-Teens is the longest running program beginning in the 1930s A-Teens is designed to empower young women with the tools to make positive choices, become confident young women, and value their individual characteristics and personalities. A-Teens provides after-school and summer programs. During the school year, A-Teens meets at the five AISD middle schools and at Clyde and Wylie Junior Highs. A-Teens has four summer programs – Summer I “Explore Your World” Camp, 8th Grade Girls Camp “Yabbers”, Art Camp and Summer II “Rule Your World” Camp. About Women’s Health Awareness Serves medically under-served women in 19 counties of West Texas. In 2008, the Alliance served more than 1,400 women overall for breast and cervical cancer screenings and services. Program began in 1991. As a BCCS provider, women diagnosed with invasive cancer through the WHA program may qualify for the "Medicaid Treatment Act" passed by the Texas Legislature in 2001; which means immediate coverage through Medicaid when invasive cancer is found. We are the only BCCS program in the region. About Women’s Economic Empowerment A program focusing on financial literacy and professionalism for young women in the workplace. |
